ABOUT US:
We are Steve and Marian Barker. Blooming Dales Pony Farm is a 64 acre working farm where we grow quality grass hays on 40 of our acres. We also own Dales Ponies, a rare pony breed from northern England. Dales are the larges of England’s native ponies. In addition to the sections of our land used for hay, pasture and barn yards we have two ponds and 10 acres of quiet woods with walking trails.
Marian grew up in Oregon, living on a strawberry ranch when she was a child. Steve moved to Oregon in 1979 and we have been farming together since 1984. Our farm is the first home of Dales Ponies in the U.S.A. having brought our original four ponies here in 1994. Our home is Victorian in style with the simple lines of a rural farm house. When in 2005 we decided to replace an old
garage we chose a style to match our home and completed construction of the Carriage House in 2012. The carriage house was built with guests in mind and has simple Victorian charm with modern accommodations.
